Catholic moments: I walked into class this morning and Jake was praying Morning Prayer and then he said that at SEEK, he got to pray the liturgy of the hours with hundreds of people and I was super jealous.
I'm praying for you!

Haha, I love how you're such a creeper that you comment on stuff I post on other people's walls on Facebook.
Hope you're having a great time in Seminary. Let me know if you need prayers for anything specific.

A priest here in Spain during his homily on Sunday said that the secret of life and of death was love.

Heard a priest point out today that, of all miracles Jesus could have chosen to start his public ministry, he chose to create alcohol in order to prolong a party.
Which seems really weird until you realize that he's thereby foreshadowing the Wedding Feast of the Lamb and inviting us all to follow him and celebrate with him.
There is a time for celebration, and Jesus being among us is a perfect reason to celebrate.
For the Bridegroom is with us!
Also, changing water into wine foreshadows the Eucharist, because he changes it all the way into wine. It's not part-water, part-wine. Its substance is changed completely.
But basically, yeah, God came to Earth and said, "Y'all should come party with me. I brought the wine!"
And people think Catholicism is no fun...

"Without the Holy Eucharist there would be no
happiness in this world; life would be insupportable. When we receive
Holy Communion, we receive our joy and our happiness. The good God,
wishing to give Himself to us in the Sacrament of His Love, gave us a
vast and great desire, which He alone can satisfy. In the presence of
this beautiful Sacrament, we are like a person dying of thirst by the
side of a river he would only need to bend his head; like a person
still remaining poor, close to a great treasure he need only stretch
out his hand. He who communicates loses himself in God like a drop of
water in the ocean. They can no more be separated." - St. John Vianney

Oh, how great is a priest! The priest will not understand the greatness of his office till he is in Heaven. If he understood it on earth, he would die, not of fear, but of love.
-St. John Vianney

“God is more honored by a single Mass than He could be by all the actions of angels and men together, however fervent and heroic they might be. Yet, how few hear Mass with the intention of giving God this sublime honor! How few think with joy on the glory a Mass gives to God. How few rejoice to possess the means of honoring Him as He deserves! … If we only knew the treasure we hold in our hands!
—St. Claude de la Colombière

So, I just watched the first four episodes of classic Doctor Who with my youngest brother, and the Doctor is kinda a jerk in them. As in, he kidnaps two humans and takes them back to the Stone Age to get held captive by cavemen. The best part is that my middle brother wandered past us while we were watching it, and he goes, "WHAT is THAT?" to which we simply replied, "The Cave Man Show!" and then I kept telling him it was about a mad man with a box and that it just might be his favorite show if he gave it a chance, and he was just like, "Y'all are crazy!" and went into his room.
And he loves Doctor Who.

So yeah, hope your Christmas is going amazingly :)
