Somebody asked me why birthdays are so important to me, and I said because it's when I celebrate being alive.

But really, why don't we celebrate being alive every day?

Why do we measure our lives in years when we could just be appreciating every single moment in and of itself?

Because God doesn't give us a pack of blessings on our birthday to last us the entire year. He loves us completely every second, every millisecond. So really, we should never cease in our joyous praise of Him who loves us more than we could ever imagine.
